Europe law change to do with website accessibility.
It now law in Europe for your website to meet a certain level of accessibility.
Here is a quick tool that can help you find out if your site is upto scrath.
All European website will be legally required to be accessible by disabled people, in order not to fall foul of the Disability Discrimination Act. You can find out more about the Disability Discrimination Act.
I was sent this statment by someone attempting to sell their consulation service.
“It only takes one complaint to the Disability Rights Commission about your website for them to start an investigation, and if they decide to proceed with legal action, you could face a huge cost not only in compensation, but also for your company’s credibility.”
- Anne-Laure Dupuis
Only a few website realistically need to worry about these changes in legislation. For example website that provide a paid for service to public. And the only people who would bother to carry out this kind of legal account would be charities that fight for human rights.
Anne-Laure Dupuis service isn’t really fraud, it is ligimate and coul dwell be useful (by the way both of her websites don’t compile). However it is scare-mongering, pure and simple.
To end with some cool websites I found on my travels. Oooo why not suprise your mum with a birthday Tea Towels? Nothing says I love you like a tea towel! (Sarcasm) Check out this cool website: walnutsmoothie career personaility test. Read the whole thing.
