Many people who are trying to build a business from their home forget the important fundamental of team building. Building a strong team is so important to anyone’s success in a home based business, it is such a surprise that people forget this part or are just too self absorbed to bother. Why would you not want to build your team strong?
When I refer to team building, I am not referring to adding people into your downline. This is the easy part. What I mean is actually taking the time to train and coach your downline and be there for them when they need your support. So many upline sponsors omit this part of the strategy from their business. They feel they can simply sponsor someone and let the company training handle the rest. This is simply not true.
New downline members who lose their sponsor’s support will usually quit the business within their first 30 days unless they have been in network marketing before and have some skills and knowledge of their own. However, without the support and guidance of your upline sponsor, how will you learn how to train and be there for your team?
It simply amazes me why anyone would want to get into a home based business and not learn and implement team building skills. It’s called duplication folks! You get into your business and learn from your sponsor. You then take this knowledge and teach it to your team members and they take it and teach it to theirs, and on and on it goes. Then, you simply just be there for your team whenever they need you.
A business does not build itself. It takes hard working, dedicated people to make it thrive. If you are not doing what it takes to build a strong, successful team, how do you expect your business to be a success? It won’t. It is as simple as that. It takes commitment, focus and leadership skills. Everyone has the ability to be a leader in their business and teach their members how to be a leader too.
Did you know that the individual who trains and supports their team members to a point where they become MORE successful than themselves is a true leader? That is what building a business is all about. Watch your team grow big and strong and pass YOU up that ladder. Everyone prospers that way. That is true network marketing.
