If it seems like there are just not enough hours in the day then chances are you may be unorganized. One of the biggest obstacles of productivity can be organization (in my experience, a good human resources software program helped increase my productivity massively). If you are not able to complete all of your tasks before your deadline it can be devastating to your job. Not meeting deadlines can mean that you may not get that raise or worse you may get let go. If you are worrying about this on top of everything else it is less likely you will get everything done. When our minds are cluttered and busy worrying it is very difficult to get out of the rut. One good thing you can do is on your day off make a list of things that you know are causing productivity issues. Once you make a list you may find that they are issues that you can easily resolve. If you cannot resolve them then the best thing to do is try to put them aside or at least do not worry about them. Once you have a clear head you will find it is much easier to meet deadlines.
You can also make sure that your workspace is uncluttered and set up for working. If you have to look in four different places to find all of your documentation then that is adding extra time. It may not seem like much time but in the course of a day it adds up. If you organize it all in one spot you may find you even make enough time to finish an extra project per day. Once your mind and your workspace are organized you will soon find yourself meeting deadlines. This will lower your stress level about your position and in turn make you more productive. You will no longer have to worry about losing your position and you may even get that raise.
